September has arrived!
What’s happening in Caloundra this September? The Caloundra Music Festival!
Six years young and with no end in sight, the Caloundra Music Festival will pump Australian and international tunes into the core of this beachside town over three jam-packed days.
This year the festival will start on the 28th and end on the 30th, the new Queen’s Birthday long weekend. Included in the festival will be the ‘fringe’ week which starts on Saturday the 21st of September which marks the beginning of the holidays. There will be free entertainment including band competitions, lunchtime concerts and a beach side carnival. There will be ticketed events as well including The Living End, John Butler Trio, The Cat Empire, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, and the Galactic, Noiseworks,
As part of the Caloundra Music Festival from the 23rd – 30th of  September the Monaco Bulcock Busking Festival will be held on Bulcock Beach and Bulcock Street. The Street will be filled with lively busker for your enjoyment. Winners will be performing on Sunday evening at the Caloundra Music Festival. You can get involved in the busking event by voting for your favourite busker and be in the draw to win prizes.
Also part of the Caloundra Music Festival is the ‘Fringe’ Festival week. It will be taking place from the 21st of September til the 1st of October. Activities and entertainment will be provided by groups around the area adding a fun and fresh element to the kids holidays. Fringe will be held throughout Caloundra, Bulcock Street, Bulcock Beach, Kings Beach and Happy Valley. Entertainment will include Multi-Cultural Activities in 'The Village', presented by FESTURI,  Street Parade, School Performances, Lunchtime Concert, Music on Kings, Bulcock Busking Festival, Workshops and Clinics, Street Performers,  Puppetry, Visual Art & Design, Sporting Demonstrations, Band Competitions, Beachside Carnival, Fireworks, Theatre, Cabaret, Circus, Comedy, Dance, Film, Local Produce and Tourism Displays

Sunshine Coast markets for September.
The Bulcock Street Market will be held on Bulcock Street on the 2nd of September 8am-1pm. There is plenty of shade and very close to the beach. Held every Sunday. It boasts a great variety of stalls, cafes and has disabled access
The Caloundra County and Farmers Market is held on the 2nd of September at 7am -12noon in Currimundi Primary School, Buderim Street, Caloundra. This market is a great place to pick up fresh fruit and veg, while also browsing the weird and wonderful in the car boot sales.
The Twilight Markets at Bulcock Beach is held on  the 28th of September at 3pm to 8pm on Esplanade, Bulcock Beach. Enjoy twilight markets on the waterfront at beautiful Bulcock Beach. Catch the live music and busking performances. There are also many stalls with tasty and delicious food through to art and craft stalls.
Cycle Through Queensland-Citrus to Sea
Saturday 8 to Sunday 16 September 2012. There is a two-wheel cycling adventure taking place that will take you through citrus fruit groves along Queensland’s amazing coastline. Meals, showers, entertainment, relaxation, transporting luggage and navigations are some of the concerns that will be taken care of by the support crew. This challenging adventure will be one to remember for those taking part.
